As in tune as we are with the latest news about all things fashion, when it comes to getting inside designers’ heads, we’re often singing a different tune. Sure, we’re always up on the newest happenings in the sartorial world (we practically recite designer collaborations in our sleep), but we like to leave the ins and outs of creating a collection to the pros. Luckily, for our inquiring minds, our favorite designers Valentino UK are all about sharing the inspiration love, including the face (and brains!) behind the epitome of downtown cool, Prabal Gurung.
The style wunderkind and subject of, well, everyone’s affection, teamed up with American Express to bring the fashion hungry an awesome new video. Prabal shows viewers around his NYC studio, lets us in on what sparks his creativity, Valentino UK Shop and where he culled the inspiration for the new pre-fall ’13 collection.
